Newton D. Baker School of Arts Mold Lawsuit
We advocate for the students, teachers, and families navigating the physical and emotional aftermath of toxic mold exposure in Cleveland Metropolitan Schools.
WE ARE ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS FOR MOLD EXPOSURE AT NEWTON D. BAKER IN THE CLEVELAND METROPOLITAN SCHOOL DISTRICT
Affirming the Right to Expect Safe Schools
Children can’t learn if their schools are making them sick. They have the right to expect clean air at school, and teachers have the right to expect a safe working environment. Just Well Law, in partnership with Bressman Law and Lelli Law, represents the families and teachers who refuse to be silenced by institutional indifference.
As part of our commitment to safe school environments, we are bringing claims against the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) becasue the administration failed to address known toxic mold infestations. We are here to hold CMSD accountable and pursue the financial recovery required to rebuild your health and your life.
A Pattern of Institutional Disregard
Our investigation into Newton D. Baker School of Arts, has exposed a pattern of institutional disregard. Evidence indicates that officials were aware of roof leaks and moisture intrusion for years, yet allowed mold to proliferate in classrooms and cafeterias. Instead of providing a sanctuary for education, the district reportedly left students and teachers in hazardous environments that compromised their health.
The conditions inside these schools became undeniable as teachers and parents reported visible mold growth behind cabinets and flooding from heavy rain. Chronic neglect transformed these classrooms into breeding grounds for toxins like black mold, which were found in common areas where children eat and play.
Your Symptoms are Evidence
We view your health markers as biological evidence of institutional indifference. If you were employed at or your child attended Newton D. Baker and experienced these conditions, you may have been afflicted by toxins causing chronic inflammation or immune system collapse. We look for these specific indicators:
- Neurological Decline: Severe headaches, brain fog, or cognitive changes that interfered with academic performance.
- Autoimmune Disruption: New diagnoses of immune-related conditions or sudden, unexplained changes in systemic health.
- Profound Fatigue: A level of exhaustion that routine rest cannot fix, often accompanied by joint or muscle pain.
- Respiratory Distress: Chronic cough, upper respiratory infections, and wheezing that cleared only when away from the school building.
The Right to Expect Safe Classrooms
Toxins used in biological warfare have no place in a child’s classroom. The Cleveland Metropolitan School District left children and teachers in contaminated environments while prioritizing its institutional reputation over human safety. We are holding CMSD accountable for hiding the truth and exposing classrooms to danger.
