Carmen Paz

Chief Operating Officer

Carmen serves as Chief Operating Officer of Just Well, where she oversees the firm’s finance, technology, and people operations. She brings to a firm of Just Well’s size the operating and financial discipline of organizations many times larger, having managed hundreds of millions of dollars across more than three decades at Fortune 100 and high-growth technology companies.

At Visa, she served as Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives, Operations & Infrastructure, overseeing a $500 million portfolio of global technology and operations projects.

At Haivision, a pre-IPO company of approximately 500 employees, she led the Program Management Office and transformed Professional Services into a profit center for the first time in the company’s 15-year history.

Earlier, during a long tenure at Motorola, she rose from software engineer to Head of the Program Management Office and Chief Process Architect. Along the way, she helped scale a startup business unit from 100 employees and no revenue to 1,200 employees worldwide and $4 billion in annual revenue.

As the firm’s dedicated operating executive, and the only non-attorney on its leadership team, she brings a level of operational rigor, strategic discipline, and professional management uncommon among firms of comparable size. Her leadership helps ensure that Just Well combines sophisticated legal counsel with the operational excellence, financial discipline, and organizational maturity typically found in much larger firms.
