Lyle Hosoda

Lyle S. Hosoda has been licensed and actively litigating cases in the State of Hawaii since 1985. He is the managing partner of Hosoda & Morikone. Mr. Hosoda has represented companies and individuals in complex civil litigation and white collar criminal investigations and enforcement actions. He has served as lead trial counsel in numerous general business, commercial, construction, aviation, employment, contract, copyright, personal injury and real property disputes, and has handled several complex white collar matters with the Department of Justice (DOJ) and other federal and state enforcement agencies.

Mr. Hosoda firmly believes that the key to helping each client achieve their goals is fostering an understanding of each unique situation. While the primary goal is to efficiently resolve a client’s legal matters, Mr. Hosoda and his team of experienced litigators are well versed in and poised to take cases to trial in all courts in the State of Hawaii. Mr. Hosoda is admitted to practice in all Hawaii state courts, the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Raised in Kailua on Oahu, Mr. Hosoda is a graduate of Punahou School and earned a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Finance from Santa Clara University. Mr. Hosoda received his Juris Doctor from the William S. Richardson School of Law. Mr. Hosoda has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a top business litigation attorney in Honolulu every year since 2013. He has also been named by Honolulu Magazine as one of the Best Lawyers in Hawaii in several litigation specialties since 2014.
